The Professional Referee Organization is to send three officials to India to referee in the inaugural Indian Super League.
Penso has been active in the MLS middle this season, refereeing 11 games, while Boria – a FIFA World Cup 2014 AR - and Cahen have been assigned to 21 matches.
The opportunity to work in India gives them the chance to develop further.
PRO General Manager Peter Walton said: “PRO is delighted to assist in the officiating of the Indian Super League.
“It is a honor and a mark of the standard of Officiating in North America that we have been requested to supply officials.
“I look forward to our officials gaining further experiences and helping to make this new league a success.”
The ISL runs from October 12 to December 10 with a finals series deciding the overall winner.
Teams play on a home and away basis during the regular season with the top four franchises qualifying for post-season finals. They will then compete over two-legged semi-finals for a place in the grand final on December 20.
Each team must contain 14 Indian players, four of which must be local to the club's city. They can have at last one marquee player, and seven other foreign players. The marquee players include:
Joan Capdevila (Spain)
Alessandro Del Piero (Italy)
Luis Garcia (Spain)
David James (England)
Fredrik Ljungberg (Sweden)
Robert Pirès (France)
David Trezeguet (France)
Other high-profile players on the ISL roster are French duo Nicolas Anelka and Mikaël Silvestre - the latter appeared for Portland Timbers in 2013 before an ACL injury cut his season short - and Canadian Iain Hume, who is playing for Kerala Blasters.
