Statement from PRO

Mar 10, 2014

The Professional Referee Organization (PRO) filed an unfair labor practice charge today with the National Labor Relations Board after learning that the Professional Soccer Referees Association (PRSA) unlawfully tried to intimidate replacement referees who officiated games this past weekend.
Over the weekend, PRO learned that the PSRA had inaccurately told replacement officials in a March 7 e-mail that they would not be eligible to work for PRO in the future if they chose to work as replacements in games on March 8.  This is not true and the threat is a violation of the National Labor Relations Act.
