PRO officials assigned to U-17 World Cup

PRO officials Jair Marrufo and Eric Boria have been assigned to the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The tournament, which runs from 17th October to 8th November, is taking place in the United Arab Emirates and Marrufo has been selected as one of three referees to represent CONCACAF. Boria has been chosen alongside five other ARs from the confederation.

PRO General Manager Peter Walton told proreferees.com: “It is a great honor, and recognition of all our officials' ability, that Jair and Eric have been selected for one of FIFA's prestigious tournaments.

“Everybody at The Professional Referee Organization wishes them both well.”

The tournament consists of 24 teams including four from North and Central America - Canada, Mexico, Honduras and Panama.

The Final is due to take place on 8th November at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
