Jair Marrufo will referee the FIFA U-17 World Cup quarterfinal tie between Uruguay and Nigeria on Saturday, November 2.
Having successfully overseen Morocco's 3-1 win over Croatia in the Group C opener on 18th October, he has been rewarded with the third quarterfinal game - the 47th of the tournament - that kicks-off at 8pm local time (12:00pm ET).
Uruguay qualified for the knockout stages after topping Group B while their opponents Nigeria did the same in Group F with an identical record of two wins and a draw from three.
The pair then progressed comfortably through the second round to set the tie up in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Uruguay beat Slovakia 4-2 and Nigeria went one better, beating Iran 4-1.
