Has refereeing in MLS got better or worse over the past year?

That was one of the questions included in ESPN FC's latest anonymous poll of MLS players, which asks for opinions on a number of topics around the league.

From expansion, to promotion and relegation, and of course refereeing – the 140-player poll, which has now been running for three years, provides some interesting feedback.

So has the standard of refereeing improved over the past year or not?

According to the poll results, 77% of participating players believe that refereeing has remained the same or got better over the past year.

On the other hand, 16% said it had got worse, and the remaining 7% didn't provide an answer.
